AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) - Chrysler plans to close a parts distribution center near Cleveland in a new wave of cost-cutting.

The struggling automaker also says 13-thousand workers in the U-S and Canada will lose their jobs, and an assembly plant in Newark, Delaware, will be shut down. Plus, shifts will be reduced at factories in Michigan and Missouri.

Chrysler has been losing money but hopes to become profitable again by next year.

Around 100 people work at the parts facility in Streetsboro, about 30 miles southeast of Cleveland.
