Cleveland, OH - A 19 Action News Consumer Alert about several food recalls.

12-ounce packages of Giant Eagle brand Egg-Free pasta ribbons are being pulled off the shelves, because they may contain eggs.

But they're safe for anyone who isn't allergic to eggs.

The packages have the UPC code 3003404596 - you can return the box to the store for a refund.

BJ's Wholesale Club is recalling Wellsley Farms Brand Fresh Mushrooms.

This, after possible traces of E. coli in the mushrooms purchased between Feb. 11th and Feb. 19th.

BJ'S said it discovered the possible presence of the deadly bacteria during a routine inspection.

So far there have been no reports of illness.

The brand has been recalled as a precaution.

And finally, Oscar MayerLouis Rich Chicken Breast Strips with Rib Meat, Grilled, Fully-cooked ready to eat 6-ounce packes are being recalled.

The affected products produced on Jan. 9 2007 are sold nationwide. The front of each package bears the establishment number "P-19676" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

On the back of each package appears a "Use by" date of "19 Apr 2007." The code "19 APR 2007" appears on each case.

No cases of infection associated with the affected chicken breast strips were reported. But consumption of food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes can potentially cause a condition with symptoms like high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea. And the condition can cause miscarriages and stillbirths, as well as serious and sometimes fatal infections in those with weakened immune systems.
