Convicted Child Molester Busted For Sex Crimes

CLEVELAND - Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department deputies said that they've busted a convicted child molester on charges of new sex crimes, and this time, there's a connection to a suburban library, 19/43 News' Ed Gallek reported.

Last year, a judge labeled John Burnette as a sexual predator for molesting a child and taking dirty pictures.

He was out on probation when deputies picked him up for similar crimes.

They said that Burnette even went to the Fairview Park branch of the county library, and looked at child pornography Web sites.

He was busted after he looked at porn on a friend's computer.

"He forgot to clear the screen, and a young man found them and told his mother," Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Lt. Doug Burkhart said. "She then filed a complaint to the Sheriff's Department."

The library said that only adults can get access to pornographic sites there, but library workers try to make sure that no one looks at child porn.
