AKRON, Ohio (AP) - His term won't be completed before another two years, but Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic is ready to go again.
Plusquellic (pictured, right) has not officially announced his plans for an unprecedented fifth term in the city's top job, but he said that he plans to run for the chairman's position of the U.S. Conference of Mayors Advisory Board. If elected at the group's meeting in June, he'll go on to become its vice president in 2003 and president in 2004.
He can't hold the job though if he isn't mayor. That means he'll appear as a Democrat on the ballot in 2003 for a term beginning in 2004.
