Construction Superintendent Dies In Building Collapse

CLEVELAND (AP) - A construction superintendent died when part of a building collapsed on him.

Eric O'Donnell, 32, of Lakewood, died Wednesday on the way to a hospital, said Envirocom Construction Co. Vice President John Giles.

Envirocom of Beachwood is building a one-story office building for CSX Corp. at the Collinwood Yards on the east side of Cleveland.

Crews had installed roof trusses around 1:30 p.m. when they fell, knocking a wall onto O'Donnell and trapping him briefly, Giles said.

Representatives from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration were investigating.
