Vermilion Police Raid Home, Find 22 Marijuana Plants

Vermilion, OH - The Vermilion Police Department received an anonymous tip that 31-year-old Kevin Baker at 5790 Huron Street was doing something, growing something illegal.

Officers checked the residence and were able to detect a distinct smell of raw marijuana when entering the house.  The officers searched the home and recovered 22 marijuana plants, a grow light, and chemicals involved in the cultivation.

According to Baker, these plants were two weeks from being harvested.  Baker was placed under arrest and charged with one felony count of cultivation of marijuana. He was released on bond and given a court date of March 13th at 9am.
