Lubbock, TX - This just in: Lubbock Police received a call late Saturday evening with reports that the missing child and the suspect were seen in Clovis, New Mexico. Authorities were able to find the missing child, and have also located their suspect. The child is in good condition.

Just before midnight Saturday, Lubbock Police received a call from a person who reported that a female matching the description of the person, who had abducted Mychael Darthard-Dawodu, had been seen in Clovis, New Mexico.

The Clovis Police Department was contacted and during their investigation they located Mychael in a Clovis hospital, and also located a suspect at another location. Right now, the suspect is being questioned by authorities in Clovis.

FBI agents from Lubbock are now in Clovis to assist with the investigation.

Mychael is in good condition and arrangements are being made for her return to Lubbock.

The Lubbock Police have called a news conference for Sunday morning.

On March, 10th, 2007  at approximately 1:20 a.m. the Lubbock Police Department was notified of a kidnapping that had occurred at Covenant Lakeside Hospital. A person posing as a hospital employee entered the victim's hospital room and took the infant, Mychael Darthard.

Patrol officers responded and immediately began a search for the victim and suspect.  Detectives from the persons crimes and juvenile crimes section also responded and have begun their investigation.

The suspect is described as an African American female in her early 20's, approximately 5'3" tall and 150 pounds.  She has a round face and black hair that has been dyed auburn and was pulled back in a short ponytail with a scrunchy.  She was last seen wearing a pink hospital scrub style shirt with purple and blue flowers, blue scrub style pants, a black jacket with fur around the hood and carrying a tan purse/bag.

The suspect was last seen in a 2000-2006 red Dodge pick-up truck with black trim and tinted windows.

The victim is a 3 day old African American female approximately 1'7" long and 5.2 pounds.  She is jaundiced and in need of medical attention.
