Police Investigate Fatal Hit Skip Accident On I-77

Summit County, OH - The Summit County Sheriff's office is reporting a multi-vehicle accident along I-77 southbound between Massillon Road and Arlington Road. Three car accident sends two to the hospital, one to the grave.

A white pick-up truck rear ended a red sports utility vehicle Sunday early evening sending the utility vehicle across the median striking a black ford mustang head-on. Deputies say 63-year-old Michael Sill of Green was killed while driving his Mustang. The driver of the sports utility vehicle, 55-year-old Mark Spreadbury of North Canton, was taken by EMS  to Akron City Hospital and is listed in serious condition.

Police are looking for the white pick-up truck involved in the accident. The truck sped away driven by a white male with a white female passanger.  One motorist followed the pick-up, but lost sight of it at the Wolf Ledges Road exit off of I-77 northbound. Summit Co. Sheriffs had I-77 southbound closed until 9:45 p.m. when it was reopened.
