Canton, OH -  A former Minerva High School band director surrendered at the Stark County Jail Monday afternoon on an indictment charging him with engaging in sexual conduct with a student.

Stadler is accused of engaging in sexual conduct with a female student on more than one occasion between May and October.  Stadler was with the district for 38 years. He retired in 2006, but returned to help with the band part-time. Stadler resigned a second time at the end of October. The Sheriff's Deputies began investigating an alleged incident at the high school involving "inappropriate touching," after his second resignation in October.
