Cleveland, OH - The Cleveland Browns have terminated the contract of fullback Terrelle Smith, the club announced today. Smith played in 16 games last season, including eight starts and had eight carries for 14 yards and eight receptions for 21 yards.
Smith played three seasons with the Browns and appeared in 48 games, including 32 starts. In 2005, he helped running back Reuben Droughns rush for 1,232 yards to become the first Browns running back since 1985 to top the 1,000-yard mark.
A native of West Covina, Calif., Smith has played seven-years in the NFL with New Orleans and Cleveland. He has appeared in 107 games, including 68 starts, and has totaled 57 carries for 182 yards and 58 receptions for 271 yards with three receiving touchdowns during his NFL career.
