Canton: Three Teens Admit to Bus Vandalism

CANTON, Ohio (AP) - Three teenage boys arrested after D-N-A evidence led police to them have admitted to vandalizing school buses.

The 15- and 16-year-olds entered the juvenile equivalent of guilty pleas yesterday in Stark County Family Court in Canton.

They broke about 140 windows in seven Jackson Local School District buses on New Year's Eve, causing ten-thousand dollars in damage.

D-N-A was collected from beer cans left at the scene and a bloody strip of gauze.

The boys were sentenced to probation and ordered to complete community service at a recycling center. They also have to pay about 580 dollars each in restitution.
