YORK TOWNSHIP, Ohio - An investigation is underway into how an 18-wheeler crushed into a jeep that was carrying a mother and her two teen-age children, 19/43 News reported.
The accident scene was at the intersection of Columbia and Branch roads in York Township in Medina County.
It was an incredible scene on Tuesday night. Just by looking at the mangled mess created by the crash, it's hard to believe that all of the victims survived.
Rescue crews said that one of the victims walked away and another got out with only a little assistance.
The truck driver said that the driver of the jeep blew through a red light, and he couldn't stop in time.
"It was really quick," truck driver Daniel Sapp said. "The only thing I saw was the car coming from one intersection to this intersection in the blink of an eye."
