Donna Moonda May Claim Mental Problems

AKRON, Ohio (AP) - A Heritage, Pennsylvania, woman accused of arranging the Ohio Turnpike murder of her millionaire husband may claim at her trial that she has a mental problem.

A federal judge in Akron ruled today that Donna Moonda will be allowed to introduce expert testimony at her trial about any mental problem.

The defense says the motion is meant to keep open the option of presenting evidence about her mental health.

She's charged with murder for hiring her lover to kill her husband, Doctor Gulam Moonda, in 2005 when the couple pulled off the Ohio Turnpike in suburban Cleveland.
