COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - State Sen. Robert Hagan said that he'll seek the Democratic nomination for Congress in a Youngstown-Akron area district.
Hagan -- who lost to Democrat James Traficant in the 2000 primary -- said that he'll run in the area formerly represented by Traficant.
The Senate on Wednesday gave final passage to a plan that redraws Ohio's congressional districts. The new map puts Traficant outside his old district and into one now represented by Democrat Ted Strickland.
Also in the old Traficant district is Democrat Tom Sawyer, who now represents the Akron area.
