Vermilion Repeat Drunk Driver Busted, Again

Vermilion, OH - A patrol officer was almost struck head on by a man who was driving the wrong way on Liberty Avenue early Saturday morning.

Patrolman Holmes pulled over the male driving the vehicle and it was later determined that the driver, Michael J. Flores, was under the influence of alcohol and was under several suspensions.

Flores advised this officer that the snow is what affected his driving and caused him to drive on the wrong side of the road.

Flores was arrested by Patrolman Holmes for his fourth O.V.I. in six years and his sixth O.V.I. in 20 years. This being his sixth O.V.I., the charge was elevated to a felony of the fourth degree.

Flores was also cited for his 3rd D.U.S. (driving under suspension) and left of center.  Flores was released on personal bond, and ordered to appear at the Vermilion Municipal Court on April 10th at 9 a.m.
