Teen Escapes Maryland Youth Facility; Believed to be Heading to Cleveland

WOOLFORD, Md. (AP) - Authorities say a female counselor is accused of helping a 17-year-old boy escape from a private school for troubled boys in Maryland.

The two drove west before she dropped the teenager off in Ohio after the two argued.

Police believe the boy was trying to get to Cleveland. He is still missing.

Police charged Amanda Mae Beavers with second-degree child abuse by a custodian. The 25-year-old turned herself in Friday.

Authorities have not released the identity teen.
