Patrick Hoover Arraigned for the Murder of Roman J. Grasela

CLEVELAND-Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason announced that Patrick Hoover was
arraigned today for killing 72-year-old Roman J. Grasela. Bond was set at $250,000 and Judge
John Russo was assigned. Hoover faces a maximum sentence of Life without Parole.

Hoover, 22, of Cleveland, went to Grasela's home on November 14, 2006 and savagely beat him to death. Grasela lived at 4100 East 59th Street for his entire life. Grasela was found by his
neighbor whom called the police. Hoover was arrested on March 21, 2007.

He was indicted on two (2) counts of Aggravated Murder, unclassified felonies; and one (1)
count of Aggravated Burglary, a first degree felony.
