MYTH: As the Ozone Hole Gets Smaller, Global Warming will Become a Non-Issue
FACT: First of all, global warming and the ozone hole are two separate issues.
The ozone is a thinning of the stratosphere's ozone layer - which is 9 to 31 miles above the earth's surface. The depletion of the ozone is due to man-made chemicals, i.e. chlorofluorocarbons. A thinner ozone layer lets more harmful ultraviolet radiation permeate the earth's surface.
