COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The state said that it's reassessing the effectiveness of its new slogan, "Ohio So Much To Discover!" less than a year after introducing it.
Mary Anne Sharkey, Governor Taft's Communications Director, said that she's concerned she hasn't heard people use or refer to the slogan in her travels around the state.
She said that state officials agreed that Ohio needed to update its former slogan, "Ohio, the Heart of It all," which had been used for 17 years. But she said that she doesn't know whether the update was a good choice or not.
The state paid $2.6 million last year to Akron-based STP Communications to develop and design the slogan, logo and an accompanying advertising campaign.
