Councilman Drafts Cell Phone Legislation For Motorists

CLEVELAND - A Cleveland city councilman wants you to hang up your cell phone when driving through the city, 19/43 News reported.

Councilman Mike Dolan said that he doesn't want to see people driving around Cleveland, while chatting on a hand-held phone anymore.

He's drafted legislation that proposes that motorists use a speaker or hands-free earphone when talking in a vehicle.

Dolan said that it's an issue that's very personal to him because he was almost hit once by a driver who was on a cell phone.
