Ohio State Cheerleaders Threatened, FBI Investigating

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The F-B-I is offering a five-thousand-dollar reward for help tracking down whoever mailed dozens of threatening letters about cheerleaders at Ohio State and other schools.

The letters complained that T-V camera crews spend too much time on close-up shots of cheerleaders. And, one sent in December griped that Ohio State cheerleaders get too much T-V time because they wear modest, long-sleeved outfits.

The letters were sent to T-V networks and local affiliates in the West and Midwest and university athletic departments in Ohio, Michigan and Arizona.

The letters have been sent since 2004 and were postmarked from Chicago, Seattle and Portland, Oregon.
