Trooper Fired After Hot Tub Accusations

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A state trooper accused of groping two women and a 10-year-old girl in a hotel hot tub has been fired.

Scott Beaver, 35, of Lancaster, was fired last week for conduct unbecoming an officer, State Highway Patrol Lt. Gary Lewis said on Tuesday.

A woman who answered the phone Tuesday at Beaver's home said the family would not comment.

Beaver worked as an investigator for the patrol. He has pleaded innocent to charges of gross sexual imposition and sexual imposition.

Two women and the girl accused Beaver of groping them while they stayed at a hotel in Sandusky on Jan. 1, according to a Perkins Township police report.

The women said they told Beaver to leave, but he returned. They then followed Beaver to his room and called police.
