CLEVELAND (AP) - Fausto Carmona pitched into the ninth inning and Casey Blake homered to help the Cleveland Indians beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-to-1.
The win came less than 24 hours after the Indians officially protested a 7-to-4 loss that ended their six-game winning streak when a run was added to the Orioles' total three innings after it had been waved off by the umpires.
Carmona improves to 2-and-1 by giving up six hits and a run over a career-best eight-and-a-third innings. He had a shutout in the ninth before Aubrey Huff hit his 100th pitch over the wall.
Jaret Wright, who was activated from the disabled list before the game, fell behind early and the loss drops him to 0-and-3.
