Stolen Car Crashes Into Carpet Store, Passenger Killed

Plain Twp, OH - A man was killed in an early morning fatal accident in Stark County involving a stolen car.

The accident happened around 4:40 a.m Wednesday morning at the intersection of 30th Street N.E. and Harrisburg Road N.E.

The car was travelling west on 30th Street and failed to stop at the stop sign and struck a curb then hit a utility pole all before rolling over and crashing into three pillars in front of Phil's Carpet Store.

A male passenger in the car was killed. The female driver, 42-year-old Charlene Goodright of Columbus is hospitalized.

Neither person was wearing a seat belt and police say speed and alcohol are suspected as the cause of the accident.

The vehicle was reported stolen from a Columbus.

Polcie are still investigating.
