Bank Security Officer Honored For Display Of Courage

CLEVELAND – A bank security officer who put his life on the line during a robbery attempt in December was honored in Cleveland on Friday, 19/43 News reported.

Paul Viancourt, 23, of Hinckley, was hit during a shootout with robbers at a Key Bank on East 105th Street.

"One bullet went into my eye and careened off my cheekbone, and came out in my neck," Viancourt (pictured, above) said. "I was griping my firearm, another one cut a piece of my finger, corkscrewed and came out the tip, and ended up in my palm."

The bank and the Federal Bureau of Investigation honored Viancourt for helping to save lives.
