NEW YORK (AP) - Thursday night's head-butting in Cleveland has caused headaches for both players involved.
NBA officials on Friday suspended Washington Wizards center Jahidi White for one game without pay and fined him $7,500 for deliberately head-butting Zydrunas Ilgauskas of the Cavaliers.
Ilgauskas also was fined $5,000 for his actions in the Wizards' 93-92 road victory.
Cavs center DeSagana Diop also received an automatic one-game suspension without pay and was fined $5,000 for leaving the immediate vicinity of the team bench.
White and Ilgauskas went face-to-face in the fourth quarter before White head-butted Ilgauskas.
