Hotels Hope Eco-Friendly Practices Lure Patrons

CLEVELAND (AP) - Cleveland area hotels are hoping visitors will be attracted to new environmentally-friendly practices.

Seven area hotels have signed on to an eight-month long program with the group Entrepreneurs for Sustainability. During the process, the hotels will brainstorm ideas on how to promote waste reduction, energy efficiency and green building, then create a plan in implement their changes.

Kelly Brewer of the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Greater Cleveland says he hopes the program catches on and attracts more conventions and large gatherings to the city.
