Fighter Jet Crashes In Indiana

VINCENNES, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say an F-15 fighter jet has crashed in southwestern Indiana.

An Indiana State Police worker in Evansville has confirmed the crash but did not have details.

Callers to a radio station (W-A-O-V in Vincennes) reported seeing a military plane crash south of town and parachutes in the air.

In 2004, two F-16's on routine training collided in the region, near the Indiana-Illinois state line. One pilot was killed but the other parachuted to safety.
