Elimination Of School Athletics Comes Under Fire

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio - The school board in North Olmsted is coming under fire from parents and athletes despite its contention that it made the only decision that it could, 19/43 News reported.

School administrators voted on Wednesday night to keep varsity spring sports such as baseball, but to drop junior varsity spring athletics at North Olmsted High School effective immediately.

Earlier in the month, North Olmsted residents voted down a levy that would have created enough money for both.
