Elyria, OH - A train collided with a car Monday morning and killed one of the vehicle's passengers.
The collision happened around 9:03 a.m. Monday morning in the area of the Amtrack Station located at 410 East River.
The car went off the road and over an embankment behind the Lorain County Blood Bank. Police found the vehicle, and began medical treatment on the passengers.
Authorities notified the railroad company that there was a situation they were working on near the tracks, unfortunately the train was too close and could not stop.
Police believe there was a medical emergancy with one of the passengers in the car.
One male in the car died and has not been identified.
