MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio – According to a published report, Kmart's recent filing for bankruptcy protection will lead to the closing of many of its stores nationwide, including five in northeast Ohio, 19/43 News reported.
The Kmart in Maple Heights is reportedly one of the stores slated to close.
The Detroit Free Press listed nearly 300 Kmart stores that it said would shut down. The retail giant is headquartered in Troy, Mich.
The other Kmart stores in northeast Ohio that will reportedly shut down are in Euclid, Macedonia, Ashland and Cleveland.
