COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich raised about $757,000 from April through June and had $213,200 cash on hand at the end of last month, according to financial reports filed Sunday with the Federal Election Commission.
Fundraising for the Ohio congressman's campaign has topped $1.1 million for the year, but Kucinich has also spent $901,500 during that time, and he continues to trail his opponents.
Kucinich spent about $707,600 during the second quarter alone.
Democratic front-runners Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York and Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois are both on pace to raise between $90 million and $100 million by the end of the year.
More than 90 percent of the nearly 13,500 contributions made to Kucinich from April through June were $200 or less, his campaign said.
Kucinich has portrayed his lack of contributions as a positive, saying that he will not be beholden to special interests if he reaches the White House.
