Ohio Boy Released from Hospital after Mauling by Mom's Dogs

NEWARK, Ohio (AP) - A central Ohio boy who was mauled by his mother's pack of dogs has been released after seven days in the hospital.

Twelve-year-old Jarred Magers went home yesterday from Columbus Children's Hospital, a week after he was attacked on his family's property in Licking County's Eden Township. He doesn't have to worry about the dogs, because they were removed by Animal Control.

County Dog Warden Jon Luzio says there were more than 40 pit bulls, pit bull mixes and English bulldogs that were being kept by the boy's mother.
