Former GOP House Speaker Predicts Democrats Will Choose Clinton-Obama Ticket

WASHINGTON (AP) - Newt Gingrich says he knows who the Democrats will name to the 2008 presidential ticket.

The former Republican House speaker predicts Democrats will choose a Hillary Rodham Clinton-Barack Obama ticket. Gingrich discussed his picks on "Fox News Sunday."

As for the Republicans, Gingrich says his party has three "formidable" choices: Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani and Fred Thompson. He thinks Arizona Senator John McCain is no longer in the running.

Gingrich is less vocal about his own presidential aspirations. He says he'll see how the race is shaping up in the fall.
