Coroner Unable to Rule How Jessie Davis Died

CLEVELAND (AP) - A medical examiner has ruled today that the death of a pregnant woman was a homicide but is unable to determine how she was killed.

Jessie Davis was killed in her home near North Canton on June 14th. Her body was found nine days later about 25 miles away.

Summit County Medical Examiner Lisa Kohler says the cause of death will be listed as unspecified homicidal violence.

The office could not exclude any type of injury as causing Davis' death.

Canton police officer Bobby Cutts Junior has been charged with two counts of murder in the death of Davis and her unborn child.

Cutts is the father of Davis' son, and her family says he was the father of the baby that was due to be delivered in early July.
