AKRON, Ohio (AP) - A woman from the Canton area who's nursing a bruised and swollen left arm says she doesn't mind, because she got to see Tiger Woods smile.
Rudy Wittensoldner of Louisville (LOO'-ihs-vihl) says she was at the Bridgestone Invitational over the weekend and not paying attention when one of Woods' shots landed hard in her folded arms.
She says she froze when another fan told her not to move because it could change the game.
Woods came over, saw where the ball was and laughed. He retrieved it when Wittensoldner raised her arms toward him.
He went on to win the tournament yesterday at Firestone Country Club near Akron.
