Stash of Weapons Found at Motel Where Shooting Suspect Stayed

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say they found a small arsenal in the Michigan motel room rented by a truck driver accused of killing two Ohio co-workers.

Investigators in Monroe County, Michigan, say they turned up a type of rifle used by snipers, an assault rifle with a scope, a handgun and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

Forty-three-year-old Calvin Neyland Jr. of Findlay is accused of killing Douglas Smith of Toledo and Thomas Lazar of Pennsylvania Wednesday afternoon at a trucking company near Toledo.

Neyland was arrested about three hours later in the motel parking lot 15 miles away in Michigan.

He's being held without bond in the Wood County jail after being arraigned yesterday on two counts of aggravated murder.
