Saul Schottenstein, Co-Founder of Value City, Dies at 85

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Saul Schottenstein, the co-founder of Value City Department Stores, died Saturday at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. He was 85.

Schottenstein's family says he had been suffering from Parkinson's disease for nearly 15 years.

In his work for Value City Department Stores, Schottenstein managed the retailer's women's merchandising for more than 60 years.

He and his family have donated millions to medical research and Jewish charities.
