Underage Teen Driver, Three Others in Court For Downtown Fatal Hit Skip

Cleveland, OH - The four juveniles allegedly involved in a fatal hit skip in downtown's Theater District are due in court Wednesday morning.

One of the teens in the stolen car that struck and killed 57-year-old Virginia DiGiorgio will not be allowed out of juvenile detention.

14-year-old Davonta McIntyre was the only one of the four kids in the car asking to be released to home detention.

The teens allegedly mowed over 57-year-old Virginia DiGiorgio, of Brecksville, while she and her husband were walking to see "The Lion King" musical on August 4th. DiGiorgio was pronounced dead on scene.

Police were intially involved in a chase with the teens, who were all to young to be driving anyways, when they suspended the chase because off high traffic in the area of downtown Cleveland.

The teens kept driving and the 13-year-old driver apparently hit the woman on the side walk.

Three of the teens were found by police after they fled the scene on foot, and the fourth teenager later turned himself in on Sunday afternoon.
