Mother Sentenced to Life in Prison in Fire Death of Disabled Son

PAINESVILLE, Ohio (AP) - Lisa Henry insists she's innocent.

But the northeast Ohio woman has been sentenced to life in prison for setting a fire that killed her 26-year-old disabled son.

In court today in Painesville, Henry said she spent over half her life talking care of her son and would not kill him.

The judge sentenced Henry to life with parole eligibility after 23 years.

The 48-year-old woman from Lake County's Perry Township had been convicted of aggravated murder, aggravated arson and other counts.

Henry's son Mikey suffered from cerebral palsy. She claimed she found him dead last year and was so distraught she set the house on fire to take her own life.
