Tressel Picks Boeckman to Start at QB in Season Opener

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio State's quarterback question has been answered.

Coach Jim Tressel announced today that Todd Boeckman (BEHK'-muhn) will start at QB for the Buckeyes in Saturday's season-opener against Youngstown State.

The three-year veteran from St. Henry in western Ohio takes over for Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Troy Smith, who graduated.

Boeckman beat out three other contenders for the job, although Tressel does say he expects backup Rob Schoenhoft (SHOHN'-hahft) will also play.
