The Big "DAWG" Burger

Can be prepared in 30 minutes
Servings: 2 to 4 Linebackers


  • 1 1/2 lb. Kaiser Roll (can be ordered at DANTE restaurant; contact 216.524.9404)
  • 2 lbs. Sweet or Spicy Pork Sausage
  • 2 lbs. Ground Sirloin
  • Shaved Ice Berg Lettuce
  • Thinly Sliced Garden Tomatoes
  • Thinly Sliced Kosher Pickles
  • Spicy Mayonnaise
  • Fried Horseradish Cheddar
  • Beer Battered Onion Rings


Sirloin Pattie

Form ground sirloin into 1 1/2 inch thick and 8 inch wide patties. Store on a sheet pan overnight.

Pork Sausage Pattie

Form pork sausage into 1 1/2 inch thick and 8 inch wide patties. Store on a sheet pan overnight.

Spicy Mayonnaise

Combine 1/2 cup of mayonnaise and 1 tsp. of chili-garlic paste

Fried Horseradish Cheddar

Cut cheese into 1/2 inch thick strips just before cooking. Bread cheese with standard breading mix (1 cup of flour with egg wash and breadcrumbs). Carefully place in a pan of hot oil making sure that oil covers good. When browned evenly remove.

Beer Battered Onion Rings


2 12oz. beer (not dark)
1 cup cake flour (not self-rising)

2 tsp. baking powder
1  tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

1/2 cup of water


Cut whole white onion into 1/2 inch thick circle slices. Emerge rings into batter and fry until brown and crispy.

Layer your Big "DAWG" Burger accordingly:

  1. Toasted Top of Kaiser Roll
  2. Thinly Sliced Garden Tomato
  3. Fried Horseradish Cheddar
  4. Shaved Ice Berg Lettuce
  5. Ground Sirloin Pattie
  6. Spicy Mayonnaise
  7. Toasted Bottom of Kaiser Roll
  8. Pork Sausage Pattie
  9. Thinly Sliced Kosher Pickles
  10. Beer Battered Onion Ring
  11. Spicy Mayonnaise
  12. Toasted Bottom of Kaiser Roll
