Cleveland Police Seek Stalker, Urge Vigilance

Cleveland, OH - Cleveland police have issued a warning Wednesday to area women about a man who dresses as a woman and who has attempted to abduct at least three women in Cleveland's Union-Miles Park neighborhood.

19 Action News has learned about a series of encounters involving women en-route to or waiting at bus stops in a stretch of Miles Ave. between E.93 St. and E.116 St. In each instance a male wearing women clothes with a scarf wrapped around his head approached the women who walked or waited alone. The male in some cases attempted to lure the women to his auto. In the latest and boldest incident the male chased the victim on foot failing to abduct her as she ran into a nearby home.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the male or his auto. The male being sought is described as a black male approximately 35 to 40 years old with a dark complexion and a muscular build, 6 feet tall and 200 to 250 pounds. In each instance the suspect drove an older model dark blue Buick LeSabre with a partial license plate that may include DPS75. The auto is known to frequent the area of E.116 St. and Miles Ave.
