Middle School Student Charged With Stabbing Classmate

MASSILLON, Ohio (AP) - A 14-year-old girl has been charged with stabbing a 15-year-old moments after the two got off a school bus.

The suspect, a Lorin Andrews Middle School student, was arrested at the scene Thursday and was sent to juvenile detention on charges of felonious assault and weapons possession.

The 15-year-old victim, a Washington High School student, suffered a cut from her eyebrow to the check and had an operation at Doctors Hospital.

Chuck Maier, chief security administrator for the Massillon School District, said the two had been involved in an ongoing feud.

Police said the 15-year-old threw a punch and the other girl pulled out the knife.
