Local Man's Plane Recovered In Wisconsin After Fatal Crash

ALMA, Wisc. (AP) - The single-engine plane that crashed in the hills of western Wisconsin last week was recovered on Monday.

Pilot Mark Blezins of Rittman, Ohio, was killed early last Friday when the Cessna cargo plane that he was piloting crashed near Alma, Wisc., during a snowstorm.

Buffalo County Sheriff Harry Schreiner said that a helicopter picked the plane off a hillside near Alma, and set it on a nearby highway.

From there, the plane was placed on a flatbed truck for transport to Kidron, Ohio, where it had been based.

Blezins' body was recovered earlier. He flew for Priority Air Charter, and was on his way from the Twin Cities to Detroit when he reported icing problems.
