Man Pulled Over For Speeding Had License That Expired In 1969

ALLIANCE, Ohio (AP) - Alliance Police said that an officer pulled a man over for speeding this past weekend and discovered that his license had expired -- in 1969.

Police officials said that 56-year-old Arthur Durm told the officer that he never got a new license after his expired on Oct. 19, 1969 because he can't see very well and rarely drives.

A spokesperson for the Alliance Police Department said that Durm was driving 53 mph in a 35-mph zone.

Durm appeared in Alliance Municipal Court on Monday.
