CLEVELAND (AP) - Tackle Mark Smith agreed to a two-year contract with Cleveland on Wednesday after a season in which he joined the Browns and played in all 16 games.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Smith reportedly received a $2.6 million package with a $500,000 signing bonus. He visited New England and Miami before deciding to stay with Cleveland.
Smith had knee problems when he joined the Browns, but he was one of the few defensive linemen to make it through the entire season.
Before coming to Cleveland, Smith played four years with Arizona. Last season, he made 11 starts -- 10 at right tackle and one at left end. He finished with 39 tackles, two sacks and recovered one fumble.
