BEREA, Ohio (AP) - Former Ohio State wide receiver Chris Sanders, who missed Tennessee's final 12 games last season with a back injury, agreed to terms Thursday on a one-year contract with the Cleveland Browns.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Sanders, a seven-year NFL veteran with the Houston Oilers and Titans, has 177 receptions for 3,285 yards and 17 touchdowns during his career.
He had five catches for 74 yards in four games last year before being sidelined with an injured disc in his back.
In 1996, Sanders had a career-best 48 catches for 882 yards.
The 6-foot-1, 188-pound Sanders played football and ran track for the Buckeyes before being drafted in the third round (67th overall) in 1995 by Houston.
