Did You Feel Weekend Earthquake?

CLEVELAND - The Ohio Division of Geological Survey wants to know if you felt the earthquake that hit northeast Ohio on Saturday, Action News reported.

The small earth tremor, which was centered approximately 10 miles northwest of Painesville beneath Lake Erie, hit the region at approximately 8:07 p.m., but there are no reports of it being felt by anyone.

A geologist with the geological survey said that recording equipment at the Ashtabula County Emergency Management Agency, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Lake Erie College and Lakeland Community College all charted the tremor.

If you did feel the quake, you are encouraged to record your experience at the geological survey's Web site (a link is located near the top right-hand corner of this page).
