CANTON, Ohio (AP) - A man who was kicked repeatedly in the head during a parking lot dispute has died.
Woodrow Washington, 33, of Dover, died Sunday at Mercy Medical Center from complications from his injuries, according to the Stark County coroner, who made a preliminary finding of homicide.
"He was kicked to death," said Dr. James Pritchard, following an autopsy Monday morning.
He said Washington suffered face and head injuries as well as brain damage from the April 4 beating, which took place in the back parking lot of the Pub bar in Jackson Township after the establishment had closed.
One of the three men suspected of beating Washington still is at large. Canton police arrested the others on unrelated drug charges and later charged them with felonious assault.
